We managed and curated the Grand Art Exhibition of Korean Buddhism, which bridges the tradition of Korean Buddhist art with contemporary interpretations. Held biennially, this competition encompasses painting, sculpture, craft, and media art, aiming to discover emerging artists and expand Buddhist culture in modern contexts.
For the 2025 competition, we managed a total of 219 submitted works, selected 56 winning pieces, and organized an award-winning exhibition showcasing the selected artists' works. By bringing together works that carry on the legacy of traditional Buddhist art while expanding into contemporary artistic language, we created a platform to explore the present and future of Korean Buddhist art.
