마인드붐은 예술이 가진 치유적 에너지를 세계가 주목하는 명상 산업의 동향과 적극적으로 연계, 현대인이 경험하는 내적 갈등 및 대립을 스스로 목격하고 완화할 수 있는 기회를 제안하는 아트페스티벌입니다. 그 첫 번째 순서인《달빛이 연못을 뚫어도》는 오랫동안 ‘마음’을 주제로 작업해 온 설치미술가 김신일이 예술감독을 맡아 문서진, 박관택, 서용선, 유승호, 조현선 작가의 작품을 선보입니다. 금강경 야부송의 “대나무 그림자가 섬돌을 쓸어도 티끌하나 일지 않고, 달빛이 연못을 뚫어도 물에는 흔적이 없다(竹影掃階塵不動, 月穿潭底水無痕)”는 경구에서 영감을 받아 기획된 《달빛이 연못을 뚫어도》전은 시시각각 변화하는 세계에서 인식의 경계란 감각할 수 있되 그 흔적은 찾을 수 없는 달빛과 같다는 생각에서 출발합니다.

Mindboom is an art festival that actively connects the healing energy of art with the rising global interest in meditation. It offers modern individuals an opportunity to observe and ease their own inner conflicts and tensions. The festival’s first exhibition, Though Moonlight Penetrates the River, is directed by installation artist Kim Shin-il, who has long explored the theme of the "mind" in his work. This exhibition showcases pieces by artists Moon Seo-jin, Park Kwan-taek, Suh Yong-seon, Yoo Seung-ho, and Cho Hyun-sun. Taking inspiration from a passage in The Diamond Sutra, as interpreted in Yabu’s Verses: "Even as the bamboo shadows sweep the steps, not a speck of dust is stirred. Even as moonlight penetrates the depths of the river, no trace is left on the water." this exhibition reflects on the intangible nature of perception in a constantly shifting world. Just as moonlight touches the river without leaving a mark, our awareness senses change, yet its traces remain elusive.
